COMPANY OVERVIEW

Founded in 2014, Minor Figures was developed to be Europe’s first large batch, long life, cold brew coffee.  Minor Figures launched a new identity and new range in 2018.

RTD Nitro cans, & Barista Supplies 1L Oat Milk and liquid Chai.  The product is exploding. We have strong distribution in place and will grow sales exponentially over the next few years. We are keen to build a team to help achieve our ambitious sales goals.

POSITION SUMMARY

FIELD SALES MANAGER will be dynamic, driven, commercially tough and will be responsible for identifying and securing high volume and profitable listings.  

You will be familiar with the café environment, and speciality coffee in general.  You will be a real brand ambassador for Minor Figures, selling our business proposition with brand integrity and an entrepreneurial mindset.  You will work with our distribution network to grow and increase sales in our 1L Barista Supplies Products – Oat M*lk and Liquid Chai and other products into café and retail environments.  

You will display a positive, can-do attitude, and enjoy fun, super-fast paced environments.

Required Essential Experience Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to understand specific needs and requirements retailers and cafes.
  • Ability to help grow the business, input positively company culture and atmosphere, 
  • Demonstrable ability to build, track and deliver strategic sales targets
  • Strong relationship management skills, customer focus, good communication skills and drive for results.  
  • Have worked within small business / start up business and with leadership are able to help grow and execute strong systems to ensure success.

REPORTING TO

Commercial Director

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing and building the relationship in all outlets across both café and retail 
  • To introduce products to new accounts.
  • To grow existing accounts, obtain orders, and increase assortment and facings
  • Organise in-store management of Product, Placement, Pricing & Promotions directed at cafes. 
  • Achieve our sales goals by ensuring customers focus on our brand
  • Review monthly account performance
  • Identify market trends and opportunities, and develop action plans
  • Achieve mutually agreed sales targets to ensure revenue and gross profit margin objectives are met
  • Maximise brand exposure using our promo tools and following our merchandising guidelines
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, create solid and long term relationships with each account
  • Share accurate reporting, data collection, weekly forecast with sales team
  • Actively participate in weekly sales meetings

 

SALARY & KPIs

Salary £28,000 + commission + travel allowance

Commission TBC

KPIs to be agreed by Directors 

 

REPORTING

Report on:

  • Monthly sales report.
  • Staff motivation, performance and training
  • Operational objectives and issues

 

REVIEW

12 week review and then annual.

 

PLACE OF WORK

Approx. 4 days a week on the road.  1 day in the office at Minor Figures Ltd, London, E17 5QJ.  

 

HOURS OF WORK

Hours of work will generally be Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5:30pm but may vary with workload or by agreement.  Flexibility required due to travel requirements.  

We expect that you will attend tradeshows and networking events outside from time to time, no time in lieu is provided for attendance at these events.

Travel will be required to follow up leads and generate sales in accordance with the Minor Figures Travel Policy (TBC).  

We require you to be available for up to 12 weeks of travel per year.
